Welcome from our principal
"It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to West Ryde Public School. Our school has a long, proud public school history, standing on the lands of the Wallumattgal people since its establishment in 1917. We have a caring, diverse and vibrant community where every student is valued and supported to thrive. Our dedicated staff are committed to providing a quality education in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. At West Ryde Public School, we believe in fostering respect, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning - where nothing is left unattempted.
We work closely with families and the wider community to build strong partnerships that enable all students to become safe, respectful learners who appreciate individual and cultural differences. Our school community is made up of families from over 50 different nationalities and backgrounds and we have a strong Community Languages Program in Hindi, Korean and Mandarin, fostering an environment where everyone belongs. Together, we strive to inspire, empower and nurture every child to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and personally.
I encourage you to explore our website to learn more about what makes West Ryde Public School a special place for your child’s education and growth. We look forward to welcoming you and your family to our school community."
